While I was surfing for some unusual recipes, I found a recipe for Hot Jam, so I made a small batch yesterday. You use green and red peppers Jalipenios, red wine vinegar and lemon juice and of course sugar. I tried a bit before I canned it and it was very different. Bet it will be good on Tortillas or a dip for chips

I'm going to give it a go at one of the local farmers markets this summer and test the water.

splendid idea! If you're making it, you might as well sell some and see some profit and happy faces.

I LOVE pepper jelly. You know what is delicious? Get some saltine crackers, spread some cream cheese on them and then pepper jelly. It's awesome!!!

Bunches of people on Etsy sell it. check this link...... http://www.etsy.com/search/handmade?search_submit=&q=pepper+jam That should give you an idea of what to charge for it.

I've never heard of that site. I'm going to have to check it out better.

I always thought pepper jelly was made with bell peppers.

Think I've created a Monster !!!!!, gave Steve a bit to try on Tuesday with some cream cheese and crackers, he's eating it like it's going out of fashion, think he's already gone through 3 x 1/2 - lb jars. On the plus side, I bought more "stuff" when I went grocery shopping yesterday and a new food processer, much easier to chop the peppers up especially the Jalipenos. I hope he doesn't want it for breakfast lol lol lol
