View Full Version : Cetus Sieve After One Week

I have long praised the Cetus Sieve's ability to push the waste down to the collection port, actually removing it from the water column. And the fact you can walk away from it for days if need be while away on vacation.

I just returned from a week trip and this is what my sieve looked like after one week of neglect. It did just what it was supposed to do.

Not a lot, that's how I work my flow through. The Cetus wastes a bit of water with the drain open and my auto fill keeps the pond topped off.

Nope, I knew how they would work as I have done this before.

I'm going to install a cattle watering float switch in my skimmer to control a trickle system. Not sure how Steve does it.

I do it several ways. If you have a skimmer big enough like the large savio you can use a cattle trough float valve, about 8 bucks. Like this one pictured in a vortex.
With a small skimmer like what I'm using I use a small float valve I get from the hardware store and install it in my skimmer. 2nd picture.
(i'll post it later, picture is on other computer)
