We have a community Craft Fair every month here at the Ranch. Linda has been gearing up for this for the last few weeks and took down a whole load of her canning. Pickles and her hot jalipeno jelly. She had samples out for people to try.
We didn't really know what to expect but mush to our surprise she had a killer day. Almost selling out of all varieties. She really did good.
(good enough to take me out to dinner last night)

We have a fair here every Saturday and Wednesday afternoon but it's in town. You have to pay to rent space there.
How long have you been doing this? How do you advertise? Do rent space to others?

This is my second year Sandy, I gave most of my stuff away as gifts last year, I had so much good feedback, I decided to do a fair to see how it went. I am well pleased. The spaces on the Ranch fair are free to Ranch residents. I haven't really advertised as yet, but I'm going to make some business cards and take it from there.
Coming in the Fall, English Christmas Mincemeat, Breakfast Marmalade (when I can get the Seville Oranges) and cherries in Brandy

What do you mean Ranch residents? Is this your property?
This might be something I can do here. We're out in the country so it would be mostly people around here that would come and not from town.

Where we live is a one time cattle Ranch now split into 2 and 5 acre residential lots with about 4,000 or so residents.

Profit or not, I can tell you enjoy the canning, Linda. It's always nice having a hobby that involves food! I'm sure Steve doesn't mind either, heck sounds like he got dinner out of it! My wife would love to live where you are. She loves the fairs and antiquing and all that. Me, not so much. But it's a compromise!

Linda I wished I had some to send you. I am wiped out. Gave all away for family and friends. I have a bunch more colors I want to try, but have an earring order I have been working on for a few weeks now, so no time for bracelets. I will finish up on the earring order on Mon. Then maybe I will have time to catch up on another project and then the bracelets. SOOOOO many beads so little time.
I do thank you and Louann for the nice compliments.

2 more Farmers markets since my first one and I'm completely blown away. My pepper jam is selling like "Hot Cakes" I'm completely sold out of my Dill, sweet cucumber pickles and my bread and butter. Steve made me some nice business cards with my cell phone number on and I'm getting repeat orders. I'll be spending most of this coming week, cutting up peppers and Jalapenios ready to fulfill my orders and make stock for the next market in 2 weeks.
I'll never get rich, but it so nice that people enjoy what I make and it keeps me out of trouble lol lol lol
