I have 2 Evolution pumps. ES5500 and ES8500. I love em. I tested both using my Kill-A-Watt meter and the ES5500 came in lower than specs on both Amps and Watts. The ES8500 came in lower than specs on Amps but, just slightly (<3%) higher on Watts. So, I feel the stated specs are accurate. This is a good quality, efficient pump at a good cost.
