Ahoy! I'm new to the whole 'pond' idea..
But, on a spur of the moment idea, I created a pond..
It's cute and small, perfect for our yard.
Around 100gallons, with a nice filter for up to 200gallons.
Well, that's not the problem, at all.
The pond is green with algae. And, it is very bothersome. Is there anything I can do for this?
There is currently no plants in the pond (I know, I know. I am getting some tonight... Life got in the way of the pond!)
Some cute little lilies.
But, that's not even why I'm here.
I have frogs.
Well, tadpoles.
And, I sat there staring into the pond at these little tadpoles when I saw one of my goldfish eat one..
Well, I knew that would happen, but I panicked!
So.. Now I have a 10gallon aquarium filled with tadpoles..
I sat on the edge of my pond, a little net in hand, fishing out these tadpoles..
Now what do I do?
Thanks for any advice, and I'll gladly take any pond tips.
I am extremely new to the pond thing!

I let the fittest of the tadpoles survive,, you could make sure there are some plants etc in the pond for them to hide in, maybe even a small rock or two for them to hide under.

That is a smallish pond, make sure you test your water (liquid test kit) do water changes, don't over stock, in other words add a bunch of fish. They are small now but will grow. Sounds like you have a good size filter for the pond size.

Maybe have a aerator going to keep the water cooler, is it in the sun?

New ponds are going to turn green. It takes at least 6-8 weeks for the filter to cycle. It won't hurt the fish. They actually like it.

You do need some air going into the pond as Chris suggested. If it's in full sun, the water is going to get too hot for the fish to survive. You may need to put some shade cloth over the top.

Put the tadpoles back in the pond or you're going to have frogs hopping all over your house. LOL
