What to do if you see small photos on our site

We have at times had a complaint that a user sees the photos on The Pond Forum as very little pictures about the size of a postage stamp. If you experience this, it is has nothing do to with our site or server--but rather, it is your computer settings in your browser. This is particularly prone to happen with Internet Explorer (IE).

For one, do make sure you have the latest version of your browser installed. Incompatibility issues can happen if you have an outdated version of Internet Explorer or Firefox. Since most websites are developed using Firefox by programmers, you are usually better off using Firefox as a browser. Like any other browser it is free to download.

If you still see small photos while using Internet, try the following:

Under TOOLS, there is a heading called "compatibility view." If you see that this is checked, uncheck it, and your pictures should now appear normal sized.

Here is a small visual aid also, this is what happened to me. I hit the little button rather than the refresh button.

Just press the little broken page button next to (or near) the refresh button.

Barbara - did this help you to get the problem? Even with the older browser, I would think it would be affected this way.
