conformation is perfect on this one and though GinRin should be three scales deep this one has such good reticulation in the scalation that the missing row of GR is hardly noticable. and lucky you, seems this koi will not have to go through QT !!! what a treasure you have found!!
there is a name for a pink eyed koi but it escapes me at this time, but perhaps someone more knowledgable will chim in .....

I have to laugh! I only read Peppy's question and not everyone else's reponses yet. I was terrified thinking, :terrified: oh my god they are selling LIVE fish on overstock.com!!!??? Too hysterical!

Go for it Peppy! Looks like a good holiday gift for yourself!

Not a lot of koi rings out there and my specs are gold or silver and genuine stones. Here's a 'rare and exquisite' color!

QVC had the Ross-Simons in citrine. CRAP! Sold out! Can't find them anywhere else either. I'd buy the Ross-Simons citrine ring a heartbeat:

What's holding me back on the first one is that ebay has one that looks identical and it says gold-plated and CZ stones. Highly suspicious of the Overstock one, especially since it says sterling but looks like gold plated. Either the ebay one is a good knock-off or the Overstock seller is lying.

While i like a koi with "bling", benchers may ask you to enter in gin Rin class or atleast remove from your finger during judging. :)

Think of the water, food, heat, medicines you'd be saving.......has to be the financial deal of the century!

or at least remove from your finger during judging.

I love the black diamond ring. It could be made of rhinestones for all I care, I'm not a diamond person. I just like the ring itself!

Peppy, I like the koi ring, too. It's cute.

My favorite is the Ross-Simmons in citrine that's no longer available, crap. The amethyst color of the one that's still available just doesn't do it for me. That would be quite the color on a live koi though!

I like the magoi...black diamonds...best, go figure LOL

peppy, the Ross simmons has more of a gold fish look to me , which is fine, just saying you mi0hgt have to find a koi/goldfish show to enter that one in lol!

this is fun shopping! :big smile:

the one Will found is very "unique"

It's fun looking but I wouldn't want to spend a pile of money on a fish ring because you really have to have the right occasion to wear something like that. Now a $100 could be worn for fun. Still, you couldn't wear it just anywhere but what a conversation piece!

Meg, I think the Ross-Simons is actually a goldfish. Not too much in koi rings so I start searching for 'fish ring'.

I'm treating myself with something. Maybe a Swarovsky trinket box. They have a nice dolphin one.

Koikeepr, I'd rather have the sieve too. It would get a lot more use than a fancy-schmancy ring, that's for sure!:giggle:
