In japan the second harbinger of spring is the blooms of the quince. Ume or apricot is the first. this is just about the time their blossums appear. But for some reason my quince are blooming. these are two different kinds, the first is a rare version of chojubai that blooms red or white. this one is an orange.
The other is a japanese flowering quince in a pink apricot.
So I wanted to share the hope of spring with you all, 60 some more days and we'll be "outta the woods" with winter and looking forward to spring :)
