who has spring pics ( I do!)

In japan the second harbinger of spring is the blooms of the quince. Ume or apricot is the first. this is just about the time their blossums appear. But for some reason my quince are blooming. these are two different kinds, the first is a rare version of chojubai that blooms red or white. this one is an orange.
The other is a japanese flowering quince in a pink apricot.
So I wanted to share the hope of spring with you all, 60 some more days and we'll be "outta the woods" with winter and looking forward to spring :)

Quince do well outdoors, one of the first flowers of spring. My Carolina Jasmine have bloomed a few flowers, still a bit too cold for them, even though they winter bloom. Last year, I had jasmine blooming at Christmas.

these are outside (well protected somewhat by my greenhouse) shrubs. I slipped them back outside the last few days to slow them down.....
