Thankyou. I'm really enjoying my new kitchen but finding the granite worktops a bit difficult to keep clean and maintain a uniform "Shine"

That's the thing about granite that does not have a lot of movement--veining and speckles. The movement hides a lot of sins and is why I always select that type.

Are you sure the folks sealed the granite properly? Sometimes that can be a factor and they may need to reseal. A more solid colored granite also shows more crumbs and such--another good reason for lots of veining.

It sure did look pretty in the photos Steve posted, tho.
