Wednesday I got a recorded message on my phone from Fed-X alerting me that a package with my pot from the UK would be arriving by Noon and someone needed to be home to sign for it. Wow, that was good to know. So thursday I hung out and when nothing came, I called "customer service". After getting a polite "sorry for the inconvenience" recital, I was told I'd get a call with more detail. The call comes in two hours later saying that the package will come tomorrow and sorry for the inconvenience. If I wasn't retired i'd have lost more than two days wages being just "inconvenienced".....So when I said if you can call me to alert me that a package will be delievered, why is it i can't get a call saying something beyond our control has happened and the delievery has been delayed. Seems simple courtesy and if you have things in place to know it will be out the next day, shouldn't be that hard to have something in place to let me know it ain't gonna happen. The idiot at the other end of the phone responds by saying who called you? I spent 12 years in customer service for a manufacturer and know what to do to handle any situation ( tho many times our company met deadlines only to find out the carrier didn't make theirs) yet i still knew I was "responsible". I will never use them ever again, anything to be delievered will be asked ahead that it not come fed x or I will not do business with them. You'd think with jobs as hard to come by these days that they could have hired and trained something more than someone who could breathe thru her mouth.
