Mark Gardener is a Britt living and working in Japan with Japanese Koi Breeders in Niigata. He keeps a blog so hobbyist around the world may see Japanese koi keeping first hand.
He is now blogging about the relief efforts they are busy with.
Niigata was hit hard by the last big earth quake in Japan and the people of that area have lived through devastation themselves. The community of Niigata is working hands on with relief efforts. if you you have been thinking of donating and unsure where to send your money here is where you know your money will feed someone a hot meal....
the video is the 6 hour drive to and though the area(edited to 30 min). they fed 500 that night

quite unbelievable footage.

What an amazing effort. Do you use Google's blog reader? Boy do I love that thing. You can go to reader.google.com and set up an account. Any blogs you follow can be added to your reader so all you have to do is log into one place and check them all. I follow the "people of walmart" one and a "bad tattoo" blog. They are hysterical! I also follow a couple of more serious ones, including Mark's.
