    air lift pump possible?

Has anyone ever attempted to build a high volume air lift pump "fish ladder" style? I want to move near 10,000 gph up slope from my pond lifting about 8 ft. to waterfall tank. Am I crazy or could this be done?

At 8 feet lift its possible but you would use more energy than a centrifugal pond pump to get into the 10000 GPH range.
